After careful consideration in analyses ICS have developed one of the most efficient rapid house development methods available today. This model consists of an Insulated raft substructure, ICF superstructure “Our specialty” Pozi joist system or hollowcore and prefabricated roof trusses or a thermo roof.

3D Design

ICS offers a full 3D modelling service for any requirement. This can be an entire house to a bespoke built-in wardrobe. In our opinion a picture speaks a thousand words while a 3D model speaks every language. We use this modelling system to make every step of the process easily interpretable for all involved and reduce and chance issues or the client not getting exactly what they want. We also use this technique to offer a pre-construction consultation to review designs and offer any advice which may lead to a reduction in costs and overall better quality

Welcome to ICS Design and Build

After spending years studying Carpentry, Engineering and Construction Management ICS’s director Robert Haverty developed a strong passion for sustainable construction and strived to develop a model which could help elevate the current housing crisis. Now, ICS is offering trial and tested rapid construction building methods for developers and the one-off construction sector in Galway and throughout Ireland.

Our team specializes in ICF (Insulated Concrete Forms) so that we can guarantee rapid installation while not compromising on thermal performance, quality, longevity or durability. ICF structures easily comply with NZEB requirements and are NSAI certified. ICF is a far more energy-efficient alternative to traditional construction methods.

We are also on hand to provide a range of additional services to make your house a home. We aim to reduce the number of different trades you need to deal with. This allows us to generate a more accurate project schedule and ensure coherence in onsite delivery.

What is ICF?

Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) are blocks which consist of two EPS panels spaced apart by high strength polypropylene webs, that form an insulated permanent shuttering into which concrete is poured. ICF consists of internal and external homogenous layers of insulation resulting in no thermal bringing. In recent years, ICF has become a preferred building product and serve as a genuine solution to Ireland’s housing crisis, due to the way they enable full superstructure construction in rapid time (six to eight weeks) and offer greater sustainability through optimal insulation and a reduction on demand for heating requirements.

The Process

Specifications

If we are taking on a large-scale development or small once off project, ICS offers a full consultation with the appointed architect, engineer or homeowner to review all designs and specifications to ensure they are getting exactly what they desire and mitigate against any chance of issues or cost over runs presenting themselves.

Schedule

Once all specifications have been agreed ICS can determine the scope of work and develop an accurate schedule for the project. By using our modern methods of construction techniques our schedules often consist of weeks in comparison to months with traditional build methods.

Build

At ICS we believe the design and planning stage is crucial. The building process is where we see this can carefully consideration come to fruition. ICS consistently delivers superstructures in a very short period while offering additional services, which once again greatly reduces the overall project schedule while not compromising on quality.

One-Off Homes

If you are a landlord, or a private individual looking to build a domestic home, we provide speedy, efficient, sustainable one-off residential construction in Galway and throughout Ireland. Sub structure and Superstructure can be completed in a few weeks and be made watertight rapidly after with the right scheduling sequences in place.

Developments

Our team has completed a range of large-scale development projects in rapid time, including a site of 80 homes, and another site of 70 homes, which took us just 20 weeks to complete while coordinating with some the country's largest installers and developers. We recently just handed over 9 units to GreenVision in Gort which was completed in a five-week period.

Along with delivering highly efficient and sustainable structures, ICS is equipped to offer a range of additional services. This involves carpentry, airtightness, insulation and high-end bespoke pieces which make a house a home.
